If a Settlement Class Member does not want a payment from the Settlement fund, and they want to keep the right to sue or continue to sue the Defendant on their own about the legal issues in this case, then the Settlement Class Member must take steps to get out. This is called excluding yourself—or it is sometimes referred to as “opting out” of the Settlement Class.
